Bonus Snap benefits, otherwise known as food stamps, have been approved. I have the full list, all the details, and everything you need to know right here on this topic. Alright, So I do completely recognize that a lot of you, you in this community are low-income or fixed income beneficiaries. As a result of that, I hope that you are also taking advantage of the very important Snap program, also referred to as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or some people call it food stamps. This is a very important program that sends out monthly benefits to about 43 million beneficiaries every single month. And it was just announced more States will be sending out a bonus payment coming up here relatively soon. And I do have that list for you right here on this topic. However, one quick side note before we get into that, if you have not applied for the Snap program quite yet, I would highly, highly recommend. If you are low income or a fixed-income beneficiary of any kind of benefits like Social Security, whether it’s retirement or SSDI survivors, SSI, VA, RRB, or anything else I would highly recommend, please apply for the Snap program.
It is completely free to do so. It does not take that much time at all. And if you are approved, you will get a card on it. And every single month they will load that card up with some money and you can go out to the grocery store and buy the necessary food items that you want. Of course, there are a few restrictions, but for the most part, there are not that many restrictions. You can buy a lot of things with it and you can take advantage of that program. So like I said, there are about 43 million beneficiaries. Again, really quickly, if you have not applied for this, let me quickly give you the phone number for this. You can call them and you can connect with your local office. Otherwise, you can do a simple Internet search, just go online, type in your state and type in Snap Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. Otherwise, if you want the phone number, I’ll give it to you really quickly. And then we will get into that list of the States that are approving the bonus payments going forward. All right, so the phone number is 1802 215689. call that number, follow the prompts on there. It’s an automated system and they will connect you with your local office.
All right, So with that being said, let’s get into the list of all the States with the bonus benefits that will be going out. But really quickly, before we do, As I am your one and only daily advocate and I’m very much dedicated to you in this community to continue doing all the research to break it all down into these short contents so that you can stay updated during this very busy time as information continues to change very, very rapidly. and feel free to share this topic with your friends, family, social media, as there are a lot of people out there that are struggling, especially with this inflation, rapidly rising prices, and food right now. In fact, I’ve been seeing a number of different reports coming out lately that food banks and food pantries across the country right now are getting absolutely slammed by people coming in right now because they don’t have enough money for food.
Therefore, they’re hitting up all these food banks and food pantries, which again, is a great thing. By all means, if you need to take advantage of that, please do it. They are all across the country. They’re all over in major cities, even not in major cities, they are all over the place. You probably have a food bank or a food pantry relatively close to where you are. And according to everything that I’ve been reading on this lately, apparently, they are getting a ton of new people coming in right now or people that are just really struggling and need some extra support with food right now. So again, if that is your situation, please take advantage of this. They have all these programs out there. They have everything for us to take advantage of. Please do it if you need that support. Anyway, I want to get into the list now and talk about all these different States out there that are approving extra bonus Snap benefits right now. So let me quickly give you the details on this and why this is actually still a thing and why these benefits are still going out right now.
So here’s the reason why. This is all as a result of the public health emergency declaration. So this was actually supposed to expire in mid-April. However, a couple of weeks ago they came out and said, just kidding, we’re going to extend it out another 90 days. Great stuff, right? So now this new extension will be bringing us out into mid-July for when the new expiration for the public health emergency declaration is supposed to be set. So that’s a great thing. As a result of this, this allows the States to continue sending out those bonus benefits ongoing if they just so decide to do so. Now, I totally recognize there are a handful of States out there that have canceled the bonus benefit. Not a good thing, right? Especially right now. However, more States may be reinstating them, and or more States may be coming out relatively soon. Here announcing the extra bonus benefit. However, I do want to give you the list that was just announced of all the different States that will be sending these out here relatively quickly. So I do want to give you this list. And again, this could be updated with more States that either decides to send out the bonus and or States that may be reinstating the bonus, especially with all the food insecurity that is going on right now around the country.
So again, I want to bring that list for you into this topic right here, right now. So I’m actually going to jump out of here.
